EDMOND, Okla. – The Newman wrestling team won the first weight class, but dropped the next nine matches, falling 38-4 at Central Oklahoma on Thursday (Feb. 6) at Hamilton Field House.

Dustin Reed started the dual with an 18-6 major decision win over Andrew Schmauch in the 125 lb. class.

The lead didn't last as UCO took a 5-4 advantage with a tech fall win in the 133 lb. class. Casy Rowell won 19-3 (6:37) over

Noel Torres went down in a 13-2 major decision at 165 lb. Michael Kubik came up short in a 3-0 decision loss to Zach Aylor at 174 lb.

After a forfeit at 184 lb., Znick Ferrell won a 5-1 decision over
Steven Cooksley at 197 lb.

In the 285 class, the match went to two tiebreakers, and UCO's Cody Dauphin won, 4-3, as he held a 3 second riding time advantage.
