Kearney, NEB. – No. 2-ranked Nebraska-Kearney shut out the Newman wrestling team, 47-0, on Saturday (Feb. 8) in an MIAA dual. The Lopers won all 10 weight classes.

No. 7 Connor Bolling defeated
Dustin Reed in a 6-4 decision. No. 1 Daniel DeShazer won a 7-4 decision in the 133 lb. class.

The Lopers won the next two classes by pin. Brock Coutu pinned
Wyatt Wade in 3:55 at 141 lb., and Tyler Anderson pinned
Zach Duwe at 3:43 in the 149 lb. class.

No. 6 Chase White won a close 5-3 decision over
Colton Duhr. No. 5 Brock Smith got a major decision victory, 17-5, over
Noel Torres at 165 lb.

No. 4 Patrick Martinez used a tech fall, 28-13 (4:20) to defeat Michael Kubik at 174 lb. At 197 lb., No. 1-ranked Romero Cotton pinned
Steven Cooksley at 0:52.

The Lopers also got two wins by forfeit in the 184 and 285 lb classes.
