HAYS, Kan. – The Newman wrestling team returns to Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association action tonight at No. 15-ranked Fort Hays State. The dual starts at 7 p.m. inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.
 
The Jets are currently 1-6 in duals and 0-1 in MIAA duals. NU started its MIAA schedule at Central Oklahoma on Jan. 15 with a 34-8 loss. At the Midwest Duals on Saturday (Jan. 18), NU went 0-3. Freshman Tyler Mies and Bobby Bowman got the victories in the MIAA opener. Mies has a team-best 23-8 record this season in the 149 lb. class.
 
The Tigers are 5-5 and 1-1 in the MIAA. They went 2-2 at the Midwest Duals on Saturday. In the MIAA season, FHSU started with a 29-16 win over No. 9 UCO at Hays, but then fell, 17-16, to No. 10 Lindenwood also in Hays.
