BETHANY, Okla. – The Newman men's soccer team concludes its road nonconference schedule tonight (Oct. 2) at 7:30 p.m. at Southern Nazarene at Wes Harmon Field at the Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex. Live stats and video will be available for the contest.
The Jets got back on track with a 6-0 win over Dallas Christian College on Monday (Sept. 28) at Wilkins Field. Five different NU players scored in the victory.
John Senseman tallied two goals.
Pedro Augusto,
Dominic Nwagwu,
Luca Anelli and
Lucas Hanson all scored.
For the season, NU is 3-4-1 and 1-2-1 on the road. Nwagwu has a team-high four goals. Anelli, Augusto and Senseman all add two goals. Nine Jets have scored this season.
Calum Dillon has started all eight contests in goal. He has a 1.70 goals against average and a .714 save percentage. He is 3-4-1 on the season with 35 saves.
The Crimson Storm is 2-6 on the season with two wins in the Great American Conference. They are on a two-match winning streak. SNU has wins over Harding, 1-0, and Oklahoma Baptist, 4-2. Before the victories, the Crimson Storm lost all on the road at Spring Hill, West Florida, Midwestern State, Rogers State, West Texas A&M and Ouachita Baptist.
