WICHITA – The Newman volleyball team ends the 2015 home schedule with three home contests this weekend at Fugate Gymnasium. Live stats and video will be available for all three contests.
 
NU starts with West Texas A&M on Friday (Nov. 6) at 7 p.m. inside Fugate Gymnasium. The Jets then play twice on Saturday (Nov. 7), including a conference showdown. Saturday starts with Oklahoma Panhandle State at 11 a.m. and then NU plays again at 4 p.m. against Eastern New Mexico.
 
Saturday is Senior Day with NU's two seniors being recognized before the match against ENMU. The Jet seniors are middle hitter Ashley Gonzalez and setter Alexus Litts. Both have played three seasons for NU. Gonzalez is close to going over 1,000 for kills in her career.
 
Along with the three NU matches, there are four other volleyball contests being played this weekend. The action starts today at 11:30 a.m. when ENMU and OPSU play. After that match, OPSU takes on West Texas A&M at 2 p.m. UA Fort Smith and ENMU battle at 4:30 p.m.
 
On Saturday, UA Fort Smith and West Texas A&M play at 1:30 p.m. between the two NU matches. Live stats and video will be available for all seven volleyball matches at NU this weekend.
 
After this weekend, the Jets end the regular season on the road in Texas. NU plays at Texas A&M International on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in Laredo, Texas. The regular season ends at St. Mary's on Nov. 14 at 12 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
