The Jets are currently 15-20 and 6-12 in the Heartland Conference after their weekend series at UA Fort Smith. The Lions took two of three from the Jets. In the win,
Garett Thomas went 3-for-4 with four RBI, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning. NU went on to win 8-5 in game one of the series. For the season, sophomore
Tyler Bugner leads the team with a .432 average, .525 on base percentage and .523 slugging. He has 10 doubles, one triple and 21 RBI. Thomas is second in average at .344 with a team-high 15 doubles.
Andrew Standish has a .341 average with a team-best 41 RBI.
The Tigers are currently 14-23 and 11-17 in the MIAA. In their most recent series, the Jets took three out of four at Pittsburg State. FHSU has won eight of their last 10 games. Kevin Czarnecki leads the Tigers with a .405 average. He has 10 doubles, one triple and nine home runs. Cooper Langley has a team-high 15 home runs and 48 RBI. Connor Ross is hitting .343 with 12 doubles and eight home runs. The Tigers have 59 home runs on the season. Opponents have hit 52 home runs.
NU and FHSU met earlier this season in Wichita with the Jets cruising to an 11-0 win.
Tyler Evans was 2-for-4 with two RBI, and
Aaron Mack was 2-for-4 with two RBI as well.
David Herrera started and got the win, going 4.1 innings with four hits and three strikeouts.

Kevin Luman pitched in relief.
After today's game, the Jets prepare for a three-game Heartland Conference series against Texas A&M International at McCarthy Field in Wichita.
