WICHITA – The Newman men's soccer hosts Fort Hays State on Friday (Sept. 25) at 7:30 p.m. at Wilkins Field on the campus of Newman University. Live stats and video will be available for the contest.
It's the second straight contest the Jets play a ranked opponent. The Tigers are No. 11 in the country and sport a 5-1 record. FHSU has an impressive 2-1 win over No. 12 CSU-Pueblo. They have also defeated Truman, UC-Colorado Springs, Lubbock Christian and West Texas A&M.
Their offense is led by Mauricio Castorino and Maurizio Costa, both of whom have a team-high five goals in six games. Anthony Hernandez adds three goals. Michael Yantz starts in goal with a 1.45 goals against average with 23 saves and a .719 save percentage. He has two shutout wins.
The Jets are currently 2-3-1 on the season. In their last home contest, NU won, 2-1, over Friends last Friday (Sept. 18). The Jets lost, 4-1, to No. 5 Midwestern State in their last contest.
Dominic Nwagwu leads the team with three goals.

Calum Dillon has started all six games. He has a 1.93 goals against average with 30 saves and a .714 save percentage.
