WICHITA, Kan. — Trying to get back into the win column after a tough weekend, the Newman men's soccer team faces off against Oklahoma Christian and Rogers State on the road Thursday and Saturday.

SCOUTING NEWMAN

The Jets (6-4-2, 4-2-2, 14 pts Heartland) made one of its toughest roadtrips of the season last weekend, battling to a 1-1 draw against Eastern New Mexico before suffering a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in overtime at West Texas A&M Saturday.

Oklahoma Christian (3-8-1, 1-6-1, 4 pts Heartland) wasn't able to turn its first league win two weeks ago into momentum, falling in a pair of games last week. Going on the road, OC fell 2-1 to Texas-Permian Basin and 1-0 to Lubbock Christian.

-The Jets topped OC in their first meeting of the year, as Tommy Fiszel scored in the first minute and Ed Jabbari added the game-winner in the 71st to earn a 2-1 victory.
