WICHITA, Kan. — Coming back home for its first games at McCarthy Field in 10 days, the Newman baseball team hosts Texas-Permian Basin in a three-game Heartland Conference series Friday and Saturday.

The Jets (16-8, 4-2 Heartland) are coming off a three-game sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle last weekend that vaulted them back over .500 in league play. They ripped off 22 hits and 22 runs over the three games to pick up their third win streak of at least three games this season.

-The Falcons have been streaky since the start of the season, starting off the year with a four-game sweep of Southern Nazarene before dropping seven straight during a tough stretch. They responded with three straight wins before their current cold streak, in which they've lost 11 of 12.
