The Jets (22-13) are coming off a rough weekend, losing three straight games in a Heartland Conference series against St. Mary's, dropping NU to fourth in the conference standings. The good news is they look to bounce back into the win column tomorrow, when just a week ago they beat William Jewell 12-6 at McCarthy Field.

-Wednesday Newman beat William 12-6 at McCarthy Field. The NU bats were on fire getting 14 hits and 12 runs off of the Cardinal pitching staff. Chase Wilson was the winning pitcher improving his season record to 2-1.
-The Jets are 7-4 on the road this year but 2-3 on the road in nonconference play, with a win tomorrow it could even the nonconference road record to 3-3.
-The Cardinals have a stout defense with a .973 team fielding percentage that ranks tenth in the nation and first in the GLVC in team fielding percentage. As you can see they don't make too many errors, so the Jets will have to be ready to earn their way on-base.
