WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman baseball team continues its homestand with a three-game Heartland Conference series against Oklahoma Christian, starting with a doubleheader Thursday and the series finale Friday at McCarthy Field.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (16-19, 4-8 Heartland) played in a midweek nonconference game yesterday at home against Northwestern Oklahoma State to begin the week and won 12-3. Newman's bats came alive in the win, tallying 10 hits and scoring 12 runs in the contest, while the Jet pitchers kept the Rangers at-bay throughout the contest, only allowing three runs and collecting 12 strikeouts as a unit.

The Eagles (21-17, 8-7 Heartland) fell 8-5 at home Tuesday afternoon to Southern Nazarene in a midweek nonconference game to start off the week, before heading to Wichita. Prior to that game though, Oklahoma Christian swept Oklahoma Panhandle State at home in last weekend's conference series.
