Jets Set For Road Conference Series Against LCU

WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman baseball team heads southwest to take on No. 8 Lubbock Christian in a weekend three-game Heartland Conference series as the final three weekends of the regular season near.

The Jets (18-21, 5-10 Heartland) come into the series after taking down William Jewell 12-9, Wednesday afternoon at McCarthy Field for a midweek nonconference game. Newman is currently on a two-game winning streak heading into the weekend conference series.

The Chaparrals (29-10, 12-3 Heartland) are currently atop the conference standings heading into the weekend series. Lubbock Christian swept Oklahoma Panhandle State down in Goodwell, Oklahoma last weekend. The Chaparrals have won all six of their conference series, so far this season.
