WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman baseball team embarks on its final home Heartland Conference series of the season with a single Thursday and doubleheader Friday at McCarthy Field against St. Mary's. Friday's game will also include a Senior Day ceremony before the games.

The Jets (18-25, 5-13 Heartland) took on William Jewell Tuesday on the road in Liberty, Missouri and fell 7-6 to open the week. Newman dropped all three games in last weekend's conference series on the road at Lubbock Christian.
