WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman men's and women's bowling teams traveled to St. Charles, MO this past weekend for the 10th Annual Hammer Lions Classic, hosted by Lindenwood University. This was the fifth straight event for the Jets since opening the 2018-19 season five weeks ago on Oct. 6th and 7th.

The women's team coming off a Mid-States Championship the past weekend, finished this weekend in sixth place in a tough field, featuring last season's defending national champions, Lindenwood.

The men's team continued their early season success finishing third overall in the Lion's Classic. The Jets have not finished in the top 3 in their last four meets. Jake Provenzano earned his fourth straight all-tournament team.

The Jets will get their first weekend off since starting the season, before returning back on the road on Nov. 10th and 11th for the leatherneck Classic, held in Davenport, IA.
