WICHITA, Kan. — With winter weather in Colorado, the Newman baseball team was forced to make changes to its weekend schedule, heading to Odessa, Texas to play a pair of doubleheaders against University of the Southwest and Texas-Permian Basin.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (1-5) played a three-game series against No. 8 Emporia State last weekend, suffering a sweep at the hands of the Hornets. ESU put up a single big inning in all three games that proved to be the difference.

NAIA University of the Southwest (7-5) is on a five-game winning streak after sweeping Randall in four lopsided games last weekend. The Mustangs scored double digits each game, outscoring the Saints 57-10 in the series.
