WICHITA, Kan. – Newman Athletics has announced its attendance policy for the 2020-21 basketball season.
 
Entry to both men's and women's basketball games in Fugate Gymnasium will be pass list only. Each Newman team will have a certain number of fans they can add to the pass list. Aviator Club Members will also have a chance to sign up to attend home events. Students will then be allowed to sign up for the remaining open seats on a first come first serve basis.
 
No visiting fans will be allowed due to limited capacity. With COVID concerns, only half of the gym will be open to patrons. This will allow both benches to be spread out along with allowing more space for scores table workers.
 
Masks and social distancing will be required in the stands for the few that are allowed in to the events in accordance with the CDC and Sedgwick County Health Department guidelines. Due to how fluid the COVID climate is, these protocols will be evaluated on a game to game basis, along with a complete reevaluation of gym setup at the end of the calendar year.
