WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman baseball team competes against NWOSU on the road and travels to Central Oklahoma at the end of the week for a three game set to open up the MIAA era.

Northwestern Oklahoma State
The Rangers are 5-10 on the season after being swept by Oklahoma Baptist over the weekend. The Rangers have four players hitting over .300 on the season led by Bryce Donovan with a .407 batting average. The Rangers pitching staff is posting a team ERA of 8.39 led by Brody Shook at 2.70.
Series History
This will be the twelfth meeting between the Jets and the Rangers with Newman leading the series 6-5. The latest meeting was April 23
rd, 2019 as the Rangers defeated the Jets 2-1 in the bottom of the 9
th.
Central Oklahoma
The Bronchos are 9-2 on the season after sweeping MSU Denver over the weekend. The Bronchos have three batters hitting over .300 on the season led by Joe Mondragon at .333. The Bronchos pitching staff has a team ERA of 2.76 led by Dylan Hall with a 1.42 ERA in 19 innings.
Series History
This will be the fifth, sixth and seventh meetings between Newman and Central Oklahoma when both teams open up MIAA Conference Play this weekend, with the series tied 2-2. The latest meeting took place Feb. 21, 2012 as the Jets defeated UCO 18-11 in Edmond, Okla.
