WICHITA, Kan. – Newman baseball returns to action this week as they travel to play Southern Nazarene Wednesday before coming home to play Northeastern State Thursday and Friday in a series that has been moved up due to forecasted weather this weekend.

Southern Nazarene
The Crimson Storm are 6-16 on the season after being swept by Henderson State over the weekend. The Crimson Storm have four players hitting above .300 led by Junior Infielder Clay Lockett with a .360 batting average. The Crimson Storm pitching staff is posting a team ERA of 10.24 led by Triston Graves at 5.52.
Series History
This will be the second meeting between Newman and Southern Nazarene with the Jets taking down the Crimson Storm 12-9 just a week ago.
Northeastern State
The Riverhawks are 9-10 on the season after taking one of three from Pittsburg State over the weekend. The Mules have four players hitting over .300 on the season led by Blake Freeman at .362. The Riverhawks pitching staff has a team ERA of 5.03 led by Colt Browne with a 2.61 ERA in 10.1 innings.
Series History
This will be the fifth, sixth, and seventh meetings between Newman and Northeastern State with the Riverhawks leading the series 3-1.
