BETHANY, OK - Newman traveled to face Southern Nazarene at Wes Harmon Field. It was all SNU all night, as the Crimson Storm rolled to victory 4-0.
The Jets fall to 0-8-1 while Southern Nazarene remains the lone undefeated club thus far in GAC play and advancing to 7-3 overall. The Crimson Storm led the game with 24 shots to a woeful four for Newman. The Jets only put one shot on net. Of SNU's 24 shots 13 tested
Laurin Aumueller in the Jets' net. Aumueller was successful in keeping 9 of those out of the net.
Cliff Brown and his staff, comprised of
Victor Olorunfemi,
Martin Penafiel and
Cole Housh, will look to find the breakthrough with their squad. The Jets have found short lived spurts of offensive success, but nothing sustains.
Newman has two sleeps to figure out what steps are next as they will take on Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 1 PM. Stay tuned to schedule updates at newmanjets.com
