EDMOND, Okla. - Newman traveled south to begin the 2021-22 campaign with a dual against #13 University of Indianapolis.  The Jets took on the nationally ranked opponent in Edmond Sunday afternoon.  The Greyhounds defeated the Jets 32-10.

The Jets opened the season with wins from two newcomers and one familiar face.  125 pounder D'Andre Brown defeated Noah Cantu of UIndy 5-2 netting the Jets a 3-0 lead.  After two losses and a forfeit at the 149 due to an opening, Jace Fisher began his Newman career with a win 10-2 at 157.  #6 Kameron Frame followed up Fisher with a 2-0 win over #12 ranked Jack Eiteljorge at 165.  This result is a superb start for the national tournament qualifier from a year ago.  Frame's win put the total match score at 16-10 UIndy.

UIndy went on to win the final 4 matches on the day.  The Jets dropped their first match of the season, but will have a quick turnaround at the UNK Open on November 20th in Kearney, Nebraska.  Full results are listed below.
