Warrensburg, Mo. - The Jets would take to the road for their final dual of the season as they would take on the Mules of Central Missouri, Saturday evening. Newman would jump out to a big lead early on their way to deafeating the Mules 44-4.
JJ Gilbert would get the Jets going with an 18-3 tech fall to score 5 points for Newman. Central Missouri would forfeit the next three matches giving the Jets a 23-0 lead. The Jets would drop their one and only match of the night at 157 lbs.
Kameron Frame would get Newman back in the win column with a 17-2 tech fall, extending the Jets lead to 28-4.
JD Johnson would pin his opponent a minute and a half into his match to give Newman a 34-4 lead.
Nate Panagakis would win a 14-2 major decision putting the Jets up 38-4.
Ivan Balavage and
Jacob Stoneberger would both win decisions to end the day for the Jets giving them the 44-4 victory.
The next competition for the Jets will be the NCAA Super Regionals in Edmond, Okla.
