WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman Jets are back in action for MIAA Conference play against Missouri Western State for a three game set starting on Friday March 19^th with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 PM.
 
Newman hitting improves over the weekend
The Jets have a team batting average of .311 through eight games.  The Jets were able to take 1 of 3 from Northeastern State after winning the last game of the series 17-13.  The Jets have 7 players hitting above .300 so far on the season led by Sophomore Hayden VanDePol with a .571 batting average and Junior Jon Coufal with a .438 batting average.
