WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman Baseball team will finally get the 2021 season underway as they travel to Warrensburg, Mo. to take on #4 Central Missouri Mules with the first pitch at 1:00 PM on March 6^th for a three game set.

Newman brings back 19 players from a season ago.
The Jets have 19 players from a season ago led by Senior's Devin Beard who had a batting average of .329, and Will Jordan who had a batting average of .289.
 
Newman Pitching brings back three starters from the 2020 season
Newman pitching brings back three starters from a season ago led by Ryan Boaz who had a 5.30 ERA last season.

Central Missouri
The Mules are 6-4 on the season and 2-1 in the MIAA.  Their previous matchup was against Rogers State Feb. 27^th-28^th where they would take 2 of 3 from the Hillcats winning the final game of the series 9-4.  The Mules have 8 players hitting over .300 led by Josh Schumacher at .417.  The Mules pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.35 led by Mason Green with a 1.20 ERA.
 
Series History
This will be the 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th meetings between these two schools with Central Missouri leading the series 3-0 over Newman.
