Box Score WICHITA, Kan. – On Wednesday afternoon, the Newman Jets Men's Soccer team traveled across Kellogg to take on Friends University at Adair-Austin Stadium. Friends would strike first in the contest and Newman would get on the board with 4:30 left in the first half. Neither team would break the tie in the second half as the match would end in a 1-1 draw.

How It Happened

The Jets would be outshot by the Falcons 13-10 in this match and 4-3 with shots on goal. The scoring began in the 29^th minute, when Christian Raffinengo beat Jean Claude Consol to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.  The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Falcons until the 42^nd minute, when the Jets were on the attack and Ignacio Lerech set up the goal for Matthew Roberts that tied the match 1-1.  For the remainder of the match, including overtime, neither team would be able to score and the match would end in a 1-1 draw.
