ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Newman's season comes to an end in Missouri as the Jets were unable to qualify a wrestler for nationals.  Of the 7 competing, six Jets placed just outside of the top 3.

The Jets totaled 45.5 points to finish 7th out of 11 teams.

Jace Fisher placed 4th at 157 pounds which was Newman's highest placement.  Garrett Lange placed 5th at 149 pounds after posting a 4-2 mark.  Lange grinded his way through the back side of the Consolation bracket after dropping his first match.

D'Andre Brown placed 6th at 125, Kameron Frame finished 6th in the 165 weight class, 174 pounder JD Johnson finished his day at 6th as well, along with Ivan Balavage at 197 pounds.  Caleb Streeter did not place at 141 after facing a tough draw.

With the season's end, the wrestling team will look to come back stronger in 2022-23 as they look to get back to nationals.
