Jace Fisher named NWCA Division II Rookie Wrestler of the Year Finalist

MANHEIM, Pa. -  On Tuesday, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced the finalists for both the Division II Wrestler of the Year and Rookie Wrestler of the Year awards.  Newman's Jace Fisher was named a finalist for the Rookie Wrestler of the Year.

"Honoring outstanding achievement is a cornerstone of the NWCA and on behalf of our President and Board of Directors it's my distinct honor to congratulate these outstanding finalists," shared NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer.

Jace Fisher of Newman represents Super Region 4. The true freshman 157 for the Jets closed out his first season with a record of 17-9, just missing an NCAA tournament spot with a fourth-place finish at the Super Region 4 tournament.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association, established in 1928, is a non-profit organization for the advancement of all levels of the sport of wrestling with a primary emphasis on developing coaches who work in academic environments.
