KEARNEY, Ne. - Wrestling competed in their second tournament of the season, competing in the Younes Hospitality Invitational on Saturday.
While the Jets would have no placers, there would be multiple wrestlers with multiple wins in the consolation bracket.
Dylan Sheler would put in the best individual performance of the day, making it to the quarter finals in the 125 bracket. Before he lost in the quarter final, he had only allowed 4 points against three opponents up to that point.
While freshman Erik Tomanek would lose in the first round, he would pick up a huge win over an opponent from Division I Colorado State in the consolation bracket in the 197 group.
The Jets will return to the mats at the Bob Smith open in Hays, Kansas on December 2nd.
