LAST TIME OUT
Newman hosted William Jewell for a midweek non-conference matchup. The Jets took the first game 5-3. Gianna Navarro went 2-2 from the plate while Gianna De Luca-Paape and Lauren Kwak went 2-3 from the plate. Jackie Gold recorded 5 strikeouts through 7 innings, allowing only 6 hits. In game 2 the Jets came out on top, 8-5. Laurie Cooke and Tori Waggoner went 2-4 from the plate. De Luca-Paape kept up her hot hitting going 2-3 from the plate with 1 RBI. Megan Walz earned another win with 7 innings pitched, striking out 4 batters and allowing 8 hits.

MEET YOUR COACHES
Andrea Gustafson is in her 4th year as the Head Women's Softball Coach. Her 2022 campaign led the Jets to a 18-30 overall record with a 9-17 conference record.

Andrea Vaughan is in her 8th season as head coach of the, 11th season with the Hillcats. Vaughan lead the Hillcats to a National Championship last year. 

Clay Davis is in his 11th year at Northeastern State. Davis has lead the Riverhawks to 6 playoff appearances and 7 seasons with winning records. 

THE JETS
Newman is currently 15-27 and 3-9 in conference play. The Jets are on a 4 game win streak and look to expand that streak this week. The Jets are coming off two sweeps. Newman swept Lincoln, 11-4 and 7-0, for their first conference sweep of the year. The Jets hosted Wiliam Jewell on Tuesday and took the sweep against the Cardinals, 5-3 and 8-5.

SCOUTING THE ENEMIES
Rogers State is ranked No.8 in Division II, ranking 3rd in the MIAA behind Central Oklahoma and Missouri Southern.  Rogers State is on an 8 game win streak, with their last wins against Northwest Missouri, 8-0 and 7-1. The Hillcats offense records a .318 batting average and a .910 OPS. Sara Llama-Howeell, pitcher for the Hillcats, has a 15-1 record with a .89 ERA through 101.0 innings pitched. 

Northeastern State is currently 22-17, 4-10 in conference. Northeastern is coming off of a two game losing streak where they dropped two games to Missouri Western, 4-12 and 2-5. The Riverhawks record a .301 batting average with a .894 OPS. Sarah Evans, pitcher, records a 2.93 ERA through 117 innings with a record of 8-9. 

CATCHING FIRE
The Jets bats have caught fire in the last four games. Gianna De Luca-Paape has gone 7 for 11 with 4 doubles, 1 home run, and 7 RBIs through her last four appearances. 

Gianna Navarro has also been huge at the plate the last four games for the Jets. Navarro has recorded 1 triple, 1 double, and 1 home run going 6- 14 from the plate. 

Laurie Cooke has also caught fire going 7-16 in the last four games. Cooke added 3 doubles, 7 RBIs, and 4 stolen bases. 

IN THE CIRCLE
The Jets pitching has also been on a hot streak. 

Jackie Gold has recorded 9 strikeouts in her last two appearances, pitching 9 innings and allowing only 8 hits and recording her first save of the season against Lincoln. 

Megan Walz has pitched 14 innings, recording 8 strikeouts, and allowing 11 hits.
