GREENWOOD, Ind.- The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Five members of the Newman softball teams were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced at a later date. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Lani Dryden played and started in 49 games for the Jets this season. Dryden tallied 37 hits, 10 RBIs, four doubles, and one home run. Dryden was second on the team in total stolen bases with 7. Dryden ended the season with a .257 batting average with .644 OPS. Dryden led the team with 24 total runs scored.
Hannah Nordby played and started in 51 games for the Jets in 2026. Nordby tallied 34 hits, five doubles, and 13 RBIs. Nordby scored 17 total runs this season after recording a .217 batting average and a .520 OPS.
Kaila Kaahu played and started in 48 games. Kaahu tallied 119 at bats, scoring 12 runs off 18 runs with four doubles, and 13 total RBIs.
Emma Taylor started and played in 52 games for the Jets this season, leading the team in games played. Taylor recorded 154 total at bats where she tallied 34 hits, three doubles, 15 RBIs, and drew ten walks. Taylor ended the season with a .221 batting average and a .507 OPS.
Lauren McNaught appeared and started in 46 games for the Jets. McNaught recorded 128 at bats recording 22 runs, 38 hits, and 16 RBIs. McNaught led the team in stolen bases with 8 attempts, all in which were successful. McNaught ended the season with a .297 batting average and .685 OPS.
