Newman traveled to Emporia State to take on the Hornets in an MIAA doubleheader. Errors hurt the Jets in both games against Emporia State.The Jets lost game 1, 8-0 with costly errors by the Jets defense. The Jets looked to rally back in game 2 and put up a fighting effort. The Jets couldn't put their offense together, with 6 hits and only two runs with two defensive errors. The Jets will look to rally back this weekend to find another conference win. Andrea Gustafson is in her 4th year as the Head Women's Softball Coach. Her 2022 campaign led the Jets to a 18-30 overall record with a 9-17 conference record.
Adrian Pilkington is in her 9th season as head softball coach for Fort Hays State with 163 wins in her first 8 seasons and 3 appearances in the MIAA Tournament.

THE JETS
