WICHITA - Newman Men's Bowling was ranked in the latest NCBCA Coaches Poll, cracking the top ten with a placing of seventh.
The Jets previously were ranked 13th in the last NCBCA poll, after finishing in 2nd in five of their first six events.
While competing at the in Las Vegas last month, the team broke the school scoring record, bowling a 1253. The events also saw the highest six game team average in program history, as the Jets averaged 1112 through the first six games of the Collegiate Shootout.
Local rivals Wichita State ranked atop of the poll once again, as the Jets move closer and closer to the top five.
Men's Bowling will return to action next weekend, as they will compete in SWIBC 5 and 6 in Dallas, Texas.
