Last Time Out
The Jets traveled to Arkansas for two GAC matchups last week. On Thursday evening they faced the Harding Bisons, who haven't been able to claim a win yet this year. After a very dominant forty five minutes, the Jets led 0-2 at half. Harding fought back, but were only able to score one goal. The match ended 1-3 giving Newman their sixth win of the year. On Sunday afternoon, Newman played Ouachita Baptist. The Jets were unable to score after a great defensive effort from the Tigers. Ouachita won 1-0, making that their first GAC win of the season. 

Scouting The Jets
The Jets hold a 6-5 record, which ties the most wins recorded in the first 11 games of the season since 2016. Alberto Romano is the leader in the Jets offense. He tallies 8 goals and 1 assist. Romano has played and started in all 11 games and records 868 minutes. Gabriel Dias Juliani is second in goals with 5 and has also assisted one goal. Nicolo Lai has assisted 5 goals for Newman. Paulo Villalobos and Gustavo Dias Juliani have provided four assists each. 

Behind Enemy Lines
After a slow conference start where they recorded two losses, The Fort Hays State Tigers have won the last three conference games they've played. The Tigers scored 14 goals and received only three in the 3 matches combined. Those three consecutive wins have earned the Tigers votes to be considered in the top 25 teams in the country. FHSU has a lot of new faces in their roster this season, including the head coach. 

The Series
The Tigers lead the head to head 10-2. The last time the Jets beat Fort Hays was in Wichita in 2022, with a 1-0 final score. Last season, the Tigers won both games with 0-2 and 1-2 final scores.
