Last Time Out
The Jets, who were receiving votes in the National United Soccer Coaches polls, hosted Northeastern State and Rogers State on Thursday and Saturday. After not being able to beat the RiverHawks since 2019, the Jets completely dominated NSU in a 5-1 win. Despite an early goal from Northeastern, the Jets maintained their game plan and were able to reverse the situation. But Newman wasn't able to get both wins over the week. Rogers State overpowered Newman with a 1-4 win on Saturday.

Scouting the Jets
The Jets moved to 5-4, making that the most wins recorded since 2019, with still nine more games to play. Alberto Romano has scored four goals in the last three games, tallying a team-leading seven goals. Nicolo Lai leads the Jets in assists with 5, followed by Gustavo Dias Juliani who has 4 and also adds two goals. Juan Carlos Cordova has made 37 saves for the Jets, and accumulates two clean sheets. 

Behind Enemy Lines
Harding hasn't been able to win a game yet this season, holding a 0-6-3, 0-3 record. The faced Rogers State and Southern Nazarene in their last two conference games, losing 1-4 and 0-3. After that, they played Delta State in a non-conference matchup that ended with a 1-1 draw. The Bisons have been able to score at least one goal in all of their games except for their 0-3 loss to SNU. 

Ouachita wasn't able to win a game last year. This season they have already won two non-conference games moving to a 2-6-1, 0-3 record. Their last time out they lost to Southern Nazarene 1-4. The Tigers will face Fort Hays State before hosting Newman on Saturday afternoon. 

The Series
The Jets have won two out of the nine contests against Harding. In their two matchups last season, Newman won the first one 0-3 in Arkansas and Harding won the second one 1-2 in Wichita. 

Newman have an overall 4-3-2 record against Ouachita. Their first match was in 2019 with a final score of 1-2 for the Jets. Last year they faced each other twice. At Ouachita the final score was 4-4. In Wichita, the Jets dominated the Tigers on Senior Day with a 4-0 final score.

Next Up
The Jets will stay on the road for their next match, traveling to Hays, Kan. to face the Fort Hays State Tigers in the only in-state matchup of the season.
