The Jets come back to action with a two win streak and 9 runs scored in the last inning played.

Junior Hayley Bonython leads the team with a .556 hitting average, seven RBIs, and one home run. Anissa Ramos had a great first series recording a .400 hitting average and two RBIs. Senior pitcher, Jackie Gold, comes back with a .205 ERA, and with one run allowed and a win in the last game played.

Opponents:

The second Friday game will face the Jets with the William Jewell Cardinals. The Jets beat the Cardinals twice last season. With a record of 7-41 and no games played this season, the Cardinals were voted to finish fourteenth in the GLVC preseason coaches poll.

Newman will play Southwest Baptist on Saturday morning. The Bearcats come back after a 11-39 season, and were voted in the GLVC preseason coaches poll to finish thirteenth.

The Jets will wrap up their away trip with a game on Saturday afternoon against the host, University of Arkansas at Monticello. The Blossoms are 3-3 this season and 1-2 against MIAA teams. They were voted to finish sixth by the coaches in the GAC preseason poll.

Sophomore Adrianna Erichsen is one of the top returners for the Blossoms, averaging .471 batting and has four RBIs already in the season.
