SB preview UMary & McPherson

Softball to host University of Mary and travel to McPherson this week

3/11/2024 2:55:00 PM

WICHITA - Newman comes back to action this Tuesday hosting a double header against the University of Mary. After that, the Jets will travel to McPherson to play a rescheduled double header against the Bulldogs on Thursday.

Last time out:

Newman was very close to getting a doubleheader split against Washburn this past Sunday. The Jets lost the first game after the Ichabods showcased a very hard to stop offense throughout the whole game, never giving the Jets a chance to get in the game. The second game was completely different. Newman led the game from the bottom of the first inning until the top of the seventh when the Ichabods took a one run lead. The Jets were not able to regain the lead and saw a very good winning opportunity go to waste.
