Softball will travel to Jefferson City, MO on Friday to face the Lincoln Blue Tigers in an afternoon doubleheader. After that, the Jets will travel to Warrensburg, MO to play the Central Missouri Jennies in a second straight conference matchup in as many days.
The Jets will look to bounce back in conference play after a tough matchup with the No. 9 Central Oklahoma Bronchos back on March 30th.
Last time out:
Newman comes back to action after a challenging non-conference doubleheader against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
The Jets were unable to get their offense going, only being able to score one run and accumulate four hits through both games.
Jackie Gold had an outstanding performance keeping the Jets in the second game by only allowing two runs and three hits through the six innings she pitched. Gold also accumulated seven strikeouts.

Lincoln:
The Blue Tigers are 10-22 in the season and 2-12 in conference play. They lost both games against #3 Rogers State this past weekend, only scoring a single run and allowing a total of nineteen runs.
The Jets have won the last eleven games against Lincoln and will look to continue that streak on Friday.
Their last matchup was last year with the Jets taking both wins 7-0, 11-4.
Central Missouri:
The Jennies are 17-18 this season and hold a conference record of 6-8. The last doubleheader was against Northeastern State and they split it, winning the first game 5-0 and losing the second one 6-7.
Central Missouri won the doubleheader against the Jets last year in a very close matchup in Wichita that ended with a 2-5 game with three runs scored by the Jennies in the sixth inning. The Jets will look to get them back on Saturday afternoon.
Home talent:
The Jets offense is led by Junior Hayley Bonython. She averages a team leading .389 batting average, and accumulates thirty seven hits, thirty RBIs, and five home runs.
Malie Noda has been a trusted bat for the Jets this season as well. She averages .294 hitting, and has thirty hits, eighteen RBIs, and nine runs.
Jackie Gold leads the Jets defense. Gold has won the most games pitching for the Jets (7) and accumulates a team leading fifty two strikeouts.
