Nine Jets earn All-GAC honors, ten earn a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, Schroder earns Elite Scholar status

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- The Great American Conference released its All-GAC Men's Soccer teams, postseason awards, and academic honor roll for the 2025 season. Nine Jets earned All-GAC honors, Cameron Schroder received Elite Scholar Student-Athlete status, and ten Jets earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll. 

All-GAC Men's Soccer First Team: Gabriel Dias Juliani and Yohsuke Ono
Gabriel Dias Juliani earned GAC Player of the Week honors twice during the season and was also named TopDrawer Soccer Division II Player of the Week. He scored seven goals, ranking fourth among all GAC players, and his three game-winning goals placed him third in the conference. With 17 total points, he finished fifth overall. Dias Juliani recorded a hat trick on September 6 against Oklahoma Christian. This marks his second All-GAC First Team selection.
 
Yohsuke Ono earned GAC Player of the Week honors after a standout performance in which he recorded two goals, two assists, and six shots over 149 minutes of play. Ono's 45 shots ranked second in the conference, while his season totals included four goals, four assists, and 12 points across 1,420 minutes. He notched a season-high four points against William Jewell in a 4-1 win, contributing a goal and two assists.


All-GAC Men's Soccer Second Team: Gustavo Dias Juliani and Gregoire Henri
Gustavo Dias Juliani added six assists on the season, taking his total as a Jet to 16 in just two seasons at Newman. These six assists earned Gustavo six points on the year. He tallied a total of 1,154 minutes of play through the regular season. Dias Juliani added 14 shots and six shots on goal. In the conference, he finished the season ninth in assists. Dias Juliani recorded a season high of three assists in the first match up against Northeastern State. He assisted on three of the Jets four goals in their 4-2 win over the Riverhawks. This is Gustavo's second All-GAC Second Team nod. 

Gregoire Henri played in 1,551 minutes for the second most on the Jets squad. Henri tallied five goals on the season with two assists for a total of 12 points. Henri recorded 26 shots and 11 shots on goal. In consecutive games against Southern Nazarene and Harding, Henri totaled three points with one goal and one assist in each game. His goal and assists helped the Jets to two wins against the Crimson Storm and Bison. In the conference, Henri finished ninth in shots on goal and ninth in goals. 


All-GAC Men's Soccer Honorable Mention: Kei Nagakura, Daiki Okada, Eduardo Dos Santos, Gibran Villalobos, and Francisco Pinochet

Kei Nagakura totaled three assists and one goal on the season. Nagakura totaled 777 minutes, nine shots, and four shots on goal. Nagakura scored a season high of three points in the Jets 4-2 win over Northeastern State in September. Nagakura scored one of the Jets goals and one assist to help push the Jets to a win. 

Daiki Okada tallied five assists on the year, with two goals. Okada recorded 1,438 minutes, 33 shots, and 11 shots on goal. Okada scored two points in three games this season, tallying two assists against William Jewell, two points against Midwestern State, and two points against Fort Hays State. His game high assists were two in the game against MSU in September. In the conference, Okada finished ninth in total shots. 

Eduardo Dos Santos led the Jets in assists this season, with eight points. Dos Santos netted one goal on the year, taking his yearly points total to ten. Dos Santos recorded 16 shots, six shots on goal, and 1,496 minutes played. Dos Santos recorded a season high three points in the Jets 4-2 win over NSU. Dos Santos was credited with one assist and one goal in the win over the Riverhawks. Eduardo finished fifth in the conference in assists. 

Gibran Villalobos led the Jets in minutes played this season with a total of 1,599. Villalobos wore the captain's armband for the Jets this season. On the year, Villalobos tallied one goal, two points, ten shots, and five shots on goal. 

Francisco Pinochet played and started in 17 games for the Jets. In his 17 appearances, he totaled 26 goals allowed, 71 saves, and posted a 6-5-6 record in the net. Pinochet recorded two shut outs, and faced 200 shots on the season. 


GAC/MIAA Elite Scholar Student-Athlete: Cameron Schroder
Cameron Schroder was one of two student-athletes to receive this prestigious academic award.
