GREENWOOD, Ind.- The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Eight members of the Newman Soccer teams were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Women's Soccer All-District:
Delphine Sosu* added seven goals on the year, climbing into the fifth spot all-time in Newman Women's Soccer history for most goals scored in one season. Sosu also added two assists on the year, bringing her points total to 16. Sosu ended the season fifth in the MIAA in total shots (54), fourth in goals (7), fourth in shots on goal (29), and seventh in points (16). The senior finished with 1199 minutes played. This season, Sosu earned MIAA Player of the Week in week one of play after scoring a brace against William Jewell and scoring one goal against SBU. Sosu earns her first All-MIAA Third Team nod, after earning a spot on the Honorable Mention team last season. Sosu will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Lexi Bauer totaled 1346 minutes of play this season on the Jets defense. Bauer totaled the second highest minutes played on the Jets team. Bauer added one assist on the year and one goal for a total of three points. Bauer's goal came against Missouri Southern State. This goal by Bauer helped lead the Jets to a dominant 3-0 win over the Lions.
Maylani Birckbichler appeared in 18 games for the Jets this season, starting 13. Birckbichler tallied 1134 minutes for Newman, tallying 19 shots with six on goal.
Kaylyn Truong appeared in 18 games, starting 11 for the Jets with a total of 746 minutes. Truong tallied three shots, with one shot on goal.
Desiray Cuellar appeared and started in 17 games. Cuellar tallied a total of 1198 minutes for the Jets this season.
Men's Soccer All-District:
Gabriel Dias Juliani* earned his second D2CCA All-Central Region First Team nod. This season, Juliani earned GAC Player of the Week honors twice during the season and was also named TopDrawer Soccer Division II Player of the Week. He scored seven goals, ranking fourth among all GAC players, and his three game-winning goals placed him third in the conference. With 17 total points, he finished fifth overall. Dias Juliani recorded a hat trick on September 6 against Oklahoma Christian. This marks his second All-GAC First Team selection. Juliani also earned a spot on the GAC/MIAA Post Season All-Tournament Team. Juliani will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Gustavo Dias Juliani earns his second D2CCA All-Central Region nod, earning Second Team honors this season. Juliani earned First Team last season. This season Juliani added six assists on the season, taking his total as a Jet to 16 in just two seasons at Newman. These six assists earned Gustavo six points on the year. He tallied a total of 1,154 minutes of play through the regular season. Dias Juliani added 14 shots and six shots on goal. In the conference, he finished the season ninth in assists. Dias Juliani recorded a season high of three assists in the first match up against Northeastern State. He assisted on three of the Jets four goals in their 4-2 win over the Riverhawks. This is Gustavo's second All-GAC Second Team nod.
Eduardo Dos Santos led the Jets in assists this season, with eight points. Dos Santos netted one goal on the year, taking his yearly points total to ten. Dos Santos recorded 16 shots, six shots on goal, and 1,496 minutes played. Dos Santos recorded a season high three points in the Jets 4-2 win over NSU. Dos Santos was credited with one assist and one goal in the win over the Riverhawks. Eduardo finished fifth in the conference in assists.
