Last Time Out
Before the midweek, the Jets hosted Northeastern State and the number 6 team in the country, Rogers State. The first game on Friday saw the Jets make a furious comeback, but the tying runner was stranded on second when the last out was recorded, the Riverhawks secured the win, 9-8. In game two, Katelyn Westover dominated, getting the win after 6.2 innings of work. Paola Zamacona closed out the win, recording the save. The Jets lost both of Saturday's matchups to Rogers State.

The Jets split the midweek games against Northwestern Oklahoma. Once again, the Jets made a furious comeback but fell short in Game 1.  The Jets walked off a 10 inning thriller in Game 2, by way of a Madi Canez RBI hit by pitch. 

Scouting the Jets
As a team the Jets are hitting .255 through 32 games. In the circle the Jets post a 6.82 era. AJ Borja leads the Jets offense, hitting .363 while also leading the team with eight doubles. Hannah Nordby is second on the team, hitting .286. Gianna Navarro leads the team with 18 RBIs. Paola Zamacona leads the pitching staff in ERA, appearances, innings pitched and a handful of other categories with Katelyn Westover and Maddie Rae Romo following closely behind with Romo leading the team in strikeouts.

Behind Enemy Lines
The Griffons offense is led by Mackenzie DeVine and Myah Dwyer, with both posting batting averages above .300. Sydney Young leads with four home runs and 19 RBIs. Ayva McComas is second on the team with three home runs. Sydney Rader leads the way in the circle for the Griffons, posting a 1.47 ERA with 98 strikeouts. The Griffons pitching staff boasts a 2.67 ERA entering the weekend.

The Bearcats are hitting .306 as a seven  players hold batting averages over .300.  Lillie Filger is hitting .407 to lead the team with Alexis Brown trailing right behind her hitting .385. Skylar Pieper holds a team high 28 RBIs. Pieper and Grace Lubben are tied for the team lead with three home runs. The Bearcats pitching staff holds a 3.78 ERA, with Rien Moore holding a team low 2.43 ERA. Olivia Moyer leads their pitching staff with 39 strikeouts.

The Series
-The Griffons lead the series against the Jets 7-2, with the Jets dropping the most recent matchup in March of last season.

-The Jets have a 2-9 historical record against the Bearcats, dropping both matchups last year.

Next week the Jets will host East Central in the midweek before traveling to face Washburn.
