Last Time Out
The Jets' traveled to Topeka to face off with the Ichabods on Monday afternoon. In Game one the Jets were unable to get anything going offensively. Washburn pulled away thanks to two separate three-run home runs, one coming from Dalaney Anderson and the other from Jaden LaBarge. The Jets recorded three hits in game one, coming from Reghann Fairbairn, AJ Borja and Lauren McNaught. Borja's double was the Jets' lone extra base hit. The Ichabods took game one in run rule fashion.

Washburn carried the momentum into Game two, shutting down the Jets offense. Gianna Navarro recorded both of the Jets hits. The Ichabods were powered by a couple of home runs again, with LaBarge and Kaylee Wagner both recording solo home runs. Maddie Rae Romo made a scoreless appearance out of the bullpen.

Scouting the Jets
Coming into the series, AJ Borja holds a .333 batting average, with a team high 12 doubles and a .471 on-base percentage. Reghann Fairbairn enters the weekend hitting .296, posting a .457 on-base percentage of her own. Lauren McNaught and Lani Dryden are other names to know in the Jets lineup with McNaught hitting .355 in conference and Dryden hitting .346. The Jets pitching staff posts a 7.19 ERA coming into the matchup. Paola Zamacona leads the staff with a 5.61 ERA in 62 innings of work, posting a 5.66 in-conference mark. Maddie Rae Romo leads the team with 32 strikeouts over 39 innings. Zoe Fulks, Katelyn Westover, Lydia Weldon, and Kinyon DeCorte are the other key contributors to the pitching staff.

Behind Enemy Lines
The Tigers enter the weekend at 22-12, 7-7 in conference. As a team the Tigers have a .309 batting average. Fort Hays' lineup has six hitters owning a batting average of .300 or higher. Madison Pierce leads the way with a .390 batting average, recording 39 hits, with eight being for extra bases. Lily Mohr comes in second with a .356 batting average, but leads the team with six home runs. In the circle the Tigers are led by Morgan Schmidt and Savannah Egger. Schmidt has a 3.06 ERA over 90 innings of work, with opponents posting a .239 batting average against her. Egger has a 3.32 ERA with a team high 103 innings.

The Lopers offense comes in hitting .260 with eight home runs as a unit. Mary Chvatal has a team high 42 hits and 12 doubles. Alyssa Fortik has a .316 batting average with 14 extra base hits and 30 RBIs. Rylyn Nelson has a team high five home runs and 31 RBIs. Jerzie Schindler leads the Lopers pitching staff with a 3.79 ERA over 71 innings. Kalli Ulven leads the team with 77 innings and 43 strikeouts.

The Series
-The Tigers lead the series against the Jets 26-9, with the teams splitting last season's doubleheader. An eight run fifth inning propelled the Jets to a game one win.

-The series versus the Lopers is tied at 4 wins each. The teams split last season's doubleheader, with the Jets winning game one by way of run rule.

Next Up
The Jets will be on the road all of next week, starting with a midweek doubleheader at Northwestern Oklahoma State. They will then travel to Fort Hays and Nebraska-Kearney to close out the weekend.
