Last Time Out
Last weekend saw the Jets travel to Missouri to face Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri. On Friday the Jets dropped game one to the Griffons, a five run third inning gave Missouri Western all they would need to secure the win. Game two saw the Jets lose a heart breaker, leading 5-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. The Griffons scored four runs to extend the game before walking it off in the bottom of the eighth on a sacrifice fly. Lani Dryden recorded two RBIs in the second game, with Hannah Nordby, Malie Noda, and Gianna Navarro each tacking on one of their own.

The Bearcat offense was too much for the Jets to handle on Saturday, thanks to an 11 run fourth inning in game one that was capped off by a Bearcat grand slam. Lani Dryden and Reghann Fairbairn recorded the Jets two hits in game one.  Game two was more of the same, with the Bearcats offense breaking out after being held scoreless in the first inning. AJ Borja and Lauren McNaught were responsible for the Jets two hits in the weekend finale.

Scouting the Jets
Coming into the series, AJ Borja holds a .337 batting average, with a team high in 11 doubles and a .469 on-base percentage. Reghann Fairbairn enters the weekend hitting .299, good for second on the team. Lauren McNaught and Hannah Nordby are other names to know in the Jets lineup with McNaught hitting .370 in conference and Nordby hitting .300. The Jets pitching staff posts a 7.19 ERA coming into the match up. Paola Zamacona leads the staff with a 5.25 ERA in 62 innings of work. Maddie Rae Romo leads the team with 31 strikeouts over 38 innings. Zoe Fulks, Katelyn Westover, Lydia Weldon, and Kinyon DeCorte are the other key contributors to the pitching staff, with DeCorte coming off an injury.

Behind Enemy Lines
The Ichabods enter the series at 24-15, sitting in seventh place in the MIAA standings. Makenzie Sais leads Washburn's offense hitting .349 with an on-base percentage of .438. Kaylee Wagner, Kate Ediger, and Jaden LaBarge are tied for the team lead with four home runs. Wagner leads the team with 30 RBIs. Other players to look out for on the offensive side of the ball are Ellington Hogle and Erin Boles, both players enter the weekend with batting averages above .300. In the circle, Sadie Walker and Jenna Sprague lead the Ichabods pitching staff. Sprague has the lowest ERA on the staff with a 3.82 in 68 innings, with opponents hitting .257 against her. Sadie Walker has the team high in innings pitched with 115. She has struck out 108 batters with opponents hitting .271 against her.
