Last Time Out
Last weekend saw the Jets travel to Missouri to face Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri. On Friday the Jets dropped game one to the Griffons, a five run third inning gave Missouri Western all they would need to secure the win. Game two saw the Jets lose a heart breaker, leading 5-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. The Griffons scored four runs to extend the game before walking it off in the bottom of the eighth on a sacrifice fly.
Lani Dryden recorded two RBIs in the second game, with
Hannah Nordby,
Malie Noda, and
Gianna Navarro each tacking on one of their own.
The Bearcat offense was too much for the Jets to handle on Saturday, thanks to an 11 run fourth inning in game one that was capped off by a Bearcat grand slam.
Lani Dryden and
Reghann Fairbairn recorded the Jets two hits in game one. Game two was more of the same, with the Bearcats offense breaking out after being held scoreless in the first inning.
AJ Borja and
Lauren McNaught were responsible for the Jets two hits in the weekend finale.
