GAC releases 2025 Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll

Jets voted fourth in preseason coaches poll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference released its preseason men's soccer poll, with the Jets earning 22 points to secure the No. 4 spot. Rogers State topped the poll with 33 points and four first-place votes, followed closely by Fort Hays State, also with 33 points and three first-place votes. Southern Nazarene ranked third with 26 points.

Head coach Victor Domingues enters his third season leading the Jets after guiding the team to an 8-10-1 record in 2024 and their first conference tournament berth since joining the MIAA/GAC.
Newman returns four All-Conference honorees from last season: Gabriel Dias Juliani, Gustavo Dias Juliani, Cameron Schroder, and Gibran Villalobos.

Gabriel Dias Juliani earned All-GAC second team after he led the Jets with seven goals, including two game-winners, and posted the team's highest shot-on-goal percentage.Gustavo Dias Juliani earned All-GAC second team after he set a program record with 10 assists, ranking second in the conference with 0.588 assists per game, and finished third on the team in points (14). Paulo Villalobos earned All-GAC Honorable Mention honors, starting every match he was available and serving as a key presence in the midfield. Cameron Schroder earned All-GACHonorable Mention after starting all 18 regular-season games, logging 1,367 minutes and scoring against Southern Nazarene in a 5-3 win.

The Jets open their 2025 season at home on September 4 against West Texas A&M at Wilkins Field. They will also host Oklahoma Christian and William Jewell before hitting the road for non-conference matchups at Midwestern State and Lubbock Christian. Newman will close non-conference play at home against the University of Jamestown on September 22.
Conference play begins September 27 at home against Northeastern State. The Jets will host six GAC opponents this season — NSU, Ouachita Baptist, Harding, Rogers State, Southern Nazarene, and Fort Hays State — with the regular-season home finale set for November 6 against FHSU. The GAC Tournament begins November 13, hosted by the highest seed.
