Last Time Out 
 
In their home conference opener against the Jennies, the Jets fell 0-9 and 5-8. In game one, the Jennies out-hit the Jets, scoring nine runs off nine hits. In game two, the Jennies would score first, the Jets would answer with one run in the second to tie up the game, and then another run in the third to take the lead. The fourth inning would bring a lead change, with the Jennies scoring five more runs. The Jets would make a push in the fourth and the seventh, scoring three more runs, but the Jennies were able to hold onto their lead. 

Against Emporia, the Jets fell 1-7 and 1-14. In game one, Newman was able to strike first, scoring one run, but Emporia was quick to answer back. Scoring seven unanswered runs. In game two, the Hornets scored first, with six runs to take an early lead. In the third inning, the Hornets would go on to score six more runs taking a 0-12 lead. Newman would score one run in the bottom half of the inning, through an RBI single. 

 
Scouting the Jets  
Noda leads the team, with a batting average of .333, slugging percentage of .526, 26 hits, and 11 RBI's. Lani Dryden adds to their offense with a batting average of .311, recording 23 hits, and leading the team with 11 walks. With a batting average of .294, Lauren McNaught has 20 hits. Katelyn Westover leads the Jets from the circle with an ERA of 6.45, across 42.1 innings of work. Taylor Palmer leads the Jets with 15 strikeouts.  

 
Behind Enemy Lines  
Northeastern is coming off a split of against Northwest Missouri State. Mattison Hamilton leads the RiverHawks offense with a batting average of .376, recording 35 hits, including nine doubles and one triple. Mia Sarwinski has recorded a batting average of .319 and has scored 22 runs. Madison Nance and Korynn Tindel lead the team with six home runs apiece. In the circle, the RiverHawks are led by Jensyn Elder, with an ERA of 3.04 and 44 strikeouts across 85.1 innings of work. 

Rogers State is coming off a sweep against conference opponent, Missouri Western. The Hillcats are led by the bat of Jaeden Jordan, with a batting average of .402, a slugging percentage of .659, 33 hits, 26 RBI's, 4 doubles, 2 triples, and 5 home runs. Morgan Raylin is hitting .326, with 29 hits and 14 runs. Baylee King leads the Hillcats on the basepath with eight stolen bases, and they are led in the circle by Hannah Butterbaugh, with an ERA of 1.53, and by Harley Culie with 114 strikeouts across 105.1 innings of work.  

The Series  
-The Jets have a 3-15 record against the RiverHawks. Their last match-up going to the Jets 4-2 in March of 2025 in Wichita.  

-The Jets have a 10-24 record against the Hillcats. Their last match-up went to the Hillcats 0-21 in March of 2025. Newman recorded their last win against RSU 3-2 at home on 4/15/2022. 
 
Next Up 
The Jets will face non-conference opponent Tabor College at home for a Monday double-header, before facing conference opponents Missouri Western on Friday, April 3rd, and Northwest Missouri on Saturday, April 4th.
