Last Time Out  
The Jets hosted Washburn on Saturday for Senior Day, but fell in both games of the doubleheader. 
In game one, the Jets were limited to just two hits from Malie Noda and Kinley Powell, while Washburn built an early lead and never looked back. Ichabod pitcher Sadie Walker dominated in the circle, throwing a complete-game shutout with eight strikeouts.

In game two, Washburn again jumped out quickly, scoring four runs in the first inning. The Jets managed two runs in the game, both scored by Lauren McNaught, who led the team with two hits including a triple. Travia Smith added an RBI, but Newman couldn't close the gap as Washburn secured the run-rule victory.


 Scouting the Jets  
AJ Borja leads the Jets offense, hitting .320 with one home run and 12 RBI's. Malie Noda follows closely behind, boasting a .319 batting average with a team high three home runs and 16 RBIs. As of late Audry Rumsey has provided a spark to the offense, hitting .306 and adding two home runs. Lauren McNaught provides a threat on the basepaths, going 8-8 on stolen base attempts. In the circle, Kinyon DeCorte and Katelyn Westover anchor the Jets pitching staff. DeCorte has thrown 49.1 innings with a 6.53 ERA with Westover flaunting a 6.58 ERA in 66 innings, 
 
Behind Enemy Lines  
Fort Hays State is led offensively by Hannah Green, who is batting .431 with 66 hits, while Lilly Mohr adds power with a .347 average, 12 home runs, and 29 RBI. Peyton Shepard is also a key contributor, hitting .375 with 51 hits and 19 RBI, while Abbey Duarte (.320, 5 HR, 43 RBI) and Audrey Gillespie (.315, 4 HR, 28 RBI) provide additional production. In the circle, Solana Carpenter leads the staff with a 4.20 ERA and 67 strikeouts over 123.1 innings, while Korryn Johnson (6.64 ERA) and Myah Wolfe (4.60 ERA) have also seen significant action.

Nebraska Kearney's offense is led by Zaria Brigham, who is hitting .302 with two home runs and 15 RBIs through 43 games this season. Gianna Galli adds a .276 average and leads the team with 22 RBIs, while Bailey Peterson is another key contributor at the plate, hitting .272. In the circle, Chloe Odle leads the way with 109.2 innings pitched, posting a 3.19 ERA with 50 strikeouts, while Zakayia Fredrick adds depth to the Loper pitching staff with 65.1 innings and a 6.11 ERA.

The Jets hold a 10-27 against the Tigers with their last win coming in April of last year. 

The Lopers lead the series 6-4 against the Jets, with the Jets last win coming via run rule in April of 2024.
