-- Jets Host Coyotes Tuesday Night --

Notes
-Newman looks for its second-consecutive win of the season Tuesday afternoon when they host NAIA foe Kansas Wesleyan in a 5:30 p.m. contest inside Fugate Gymnasium. The Coyotes are 5-2 this season, and have won four-straight after a 63-53 win Saturday at Park University in Kansas City, Mo. Newman is 1-3 after picking up its first win of the season in a 73-54 thrashing of the College of Saint Mary Saturday afternoon in the consolation game of the Regis Catholic Schools Tournament in Denver, Colo.

-Tonight's contest will count as an exhibition game for Kansas Wesleyan.

-After coming up empty in the first game of the season, Newman junior guard Rainey Nickel has put up double figures in each of her last three games, including a 20-point outing a week ago against Cameron. Nickel added 13 points against Regis last Friday, and nailed five three-pointers in the Jets' win over the College of Saint Mary.

-Kansas Wesleyan is the first of three Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents that will visit Newman this season. Ottawa (Dec. 29) and Tabor (Feb. 8) will also make the trip to Wichita this season.
