GOODWELL, Okla. – The Newman softball team looks to continue its Heartland Conference winning streak at Oklahoma Panhandle State in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Field. The three-game series concludes tomorrow (April 11) at 12 p.m. Live stats will be available.
The Jets are on a three-game Heartland Conference winning streak after sweeping Texas-Permian Basin on March 27-28 in Wichita. NU won the games by scores of 5-4, 7-1 and 10-7. With the conference wins, the Jets are 5-10 in the Heartland Conference and 10-28 overall. Junior shortstop

The Aggies are 9-28 and 1-14 in the Heartland Conference. OPSU is on a nine-game losing streak, all in Heartland Conference action. In their most recent series, they lost at Lubbock Christian. The Aggies are also 0-11 at home this season. Ashley Jarzombek leads the team with a .361 average and six doubles. She has a .515 slugging percentage. Madison Heathington leads the team with 22 RBI and has a .299 average. Samanthan Arledge is their best pitcher with a .525 ERA in 25 appearances. She has a team-high 134 strikeouts.
After this weekend's series, the Jets return home to play 12 of their final 14 games at the Newman Softball Field.
