WICHITA, Kan. — Hitting the road for midweek games for the first time this season, the Newman softball team goes south to face off against Northeastern State and Southeastern Oklahoma State in doubleheaders Wednesday and Thursday.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (2-9) are coming off a tough weekend in Texas, going 0-5 at the MSU Round Robin at Midwestern State. Newman played a number of close games, often getting undone by a single big inning.

SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM (Thursday, 1 p.m.)
Southeastern Oklahoma State (4-4) started its season by going 4-2 at its own tournament on the first weekend, winning three one-run games in the process, including a 13-12 win over Missouri Southern in eight innings. The Storm dropped both games of a doubleheader to Cameron in their latest action on Feb. 7.
