WICHITA, Kan. — Finishing up a string of nonconference games before getting back into Heartland Conference play this weekend, the Newman softball team hosts Southern Nazarene Wednesday afternoon in its final home nonconference games of the season.

The Jets (6-24) are coming off a pair of doubleheaders late last week. They earned a walk-off 9-8 win over Emporia State Friday to earn a split in their last action. Southern Nazarene (7-19) is coming off a weekend Great American Conference series against Arkansas Tech, where the Crimson Storm grabbed a 1-0 win, but fell in the other three games.
