Jets Head To Rogers State For League Series

WICHITA, Kan. — After putting together an impressive series victory against a nationally ranked opponent last weekend, the Newman softball team looks to continue its jump up the Heartland Conference standings with a three-game set against Rogers State this weekend.

With the Easter holiday falling on this Sunday, the weekend series will feature a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Thursday and a single game at noon Friday.

SCOUTING NEWMAN

The Jets (11-30, 5-7 Heartland) put together one of their best weekends since joining the Heartland, sweeping No. 14 — then No. 5 — St. Mary's in a doubleheader last Friday before falling in a tight game in the series finale Saturday. Newman handed the Rattlers their first home losses of the season.
