INDIANAPOLIS — In the hardest field they have faced this year, the No. 10 ranked bowling teams had a rough go at the Hoosier Challenge this past weekend (Feb. 16-17) as both squads fell short of bracket play.
Women's Recap
For the first time all season, the women's team fell just short of bracket play with a 15th place finish knocking over a total of 8157 pins over the two days. Despite missing out on bracket play the Jets finished with two individuals finishing inside the top-15. Junior, Carley Sullivan led the way for the Jets bowling an average score of 197.5 per game finishing in the 14th spot. Kristen Machacek finished just a spot below in 15th place with an average score of 196.5.
Men's Recap
After a sluggish start to the tournament finishing in 26th place after the first set of Baker Games, the Jets were unable to climb back into contention as they'd finish the tournament in 30th place, missing out on bracket play for just the second time all year.
The bowling teams will take a couple weeks off before heading to the ITC/ISC Sectionals on March 8th-10th. Location for the event has been undecided and should be announced later this week.
